The Role

Claims Project Managers are sent to client’s homes for pre-loss assessments & inventory, post-loss assessment & inventory, collections cataloging, reconstruction post loss including compiling inventory lists, photos, and in-depth client interviews. PMs work with vendors of all varieties and often QB all mitigation efforts on a claim.
What You’ll Do

  • This person should have experience in leadership and/or project management.
  • Knowledge in the insurance industry and/or collectible genres, as evidenced by education and career experience in a field such as insurance, interior design, art conservation, exhibition or curatorship, antiques, couture fashion or other fine articles of personal property is helpful.
  • The successful candidate will exemplify professionalism, have excellent communication skills, and be a team player.
  • Person must be extremely detail-oriented and possess excellent problem solving and leadership skills.
  • This position often requires travel and extreme professionalism within the high net worth realm of claims.
  • Strong attention to detail, with knowledge of property insurance, fine arts, antiques, high end furniture, fine textiles and rugs, and designer or couture clothing.
  • Ability to travel 30 – 60%, both local and overnight, sometimes with very short notice.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelors or Graduate Studies in Business, Art, Art History, Fashion, Interior Design or related field desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent MS Office, Outlook, and computer skills.
  • Experience working in the insurance industry or around a high-end property industry such as interior design, art, or fashion and/or equivalent education in the relevant areas.
  • Strong organizational skills are a must!
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to sit for multiple hours at a time and to work multiple hours a day at a computer keyboard.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during the work day.
