We are actively seeking a skilled and dynamic Business Systems Analyst to join our Claims Business Systems and Technology team.  The ideal candidate should possess a moderate to senior level of experience with a robust background in Agile methodologies. This role requires a proactive individual comfortable diving into project intricacies, leading workshops, gathering requirements, crafting user stories, and presenting in refinement and planning meetings.
As a business analyst on our team, you will be supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing, and deployment tasks of our software product’s features.  Proactively engage with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write clear, concise, and comprehensive business and reporting requirements using our current technology stack
  • Participate and contribute to design, requirements engineering, scrum execution, and technical discussions
  • Gather and document comprehensive business requirements, translating them into clear user stories.
  • Analyze, investigate and work closely with business stakeholders to deep dive into requirements to ensure detailed acceptance criteria
  • Provide timely and meaningful feedback on requirements, specifications, technical design documents, and testing results
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate key insights and findings to the appropriate individuals
  • Willingness to probe into requirements to enhance system functionality
  • Play a pivotal role in refining and planning meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in Agile methodologies and contribute to project planning.
  • Develop strong partnerships with business teams and other groups
  • Deliver the required capabilities per biBERK standards
  • Identify, design, document, and maintain system processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/business/Related field or equivalent working experience. Applicants with strong property and casualty claims handling experience with an interest in business systems and technology are encouraged to apply.  Will consider Business Analyst training for candidate with diverse P&C Claims handling experience.

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Agile Processes
  • Experience with Azure Devops
  • 2+ Years of proven experience as a business analyst

 Preferred Qualifications

  • B2B Claims insurance experience
  • Experience with gathering and documenting thorough business requirements and user acceptance criteria
  • Knowledge of generating process documentation
  • Outstanding communication, collaboration capabilities, problem-solving, and attention to detail and investigation of issues
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience with SQL and other query languages
  • P&C Insurance claims experience / exposure

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The starting salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 per year.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
