About the Position 

The Channel Sales Manager (CSM) responsibilities include working within the sales team to promote and sell network security products within a geographic territory. The CSM is responsible for supporting assigned WatchGuard partners in the assigned territory. The CSM will be responsible for quoting, training, lead generation, follow-up, event support, as well as forecasting and tracking for their assigned partners. The CSM will report to the MDR Channel Sales Lead and will work closely with their assigned Partners to assure territory quota attainment, in addition to joining with the sales and field marketing team counterparts. Success in this position will be measured by meeting successful transaction, growth, and retention goals with the assigned partners. The CSM will keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and the competitive position of the company, as well as prepare activity and forecast reports as

Position Responsibilities

  • Focus on partner relationship management to achieve results in revenue 
  • Work directly with assigned partners of different levels to develop new sales opportunities and expand existing joint business  
  • Maintain regular contact with partners to ensure satisfaction and continued success 
  • Development of annual business plans with each partner including but not limited to growth targets, marketing events and enablement plans to be reviewed and adjusted throughout the year   
  • Create, present and deliver accurate business reviews, strategic plans and forecasts to internal management teams 
  • Provide partner focused enablement to sales teams ensuring that partners are positioned and inspired to win with WatchGuard products  
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and marketing teams both internally and with partner teams  
  • Create and perform partner and end user sales presentations.   
  • Be knowledgeable of all WatchGuard products, services, and internal sales tools with an emphasis on MDR solutions.  
  • Other duties and projects assigned 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience channel management in mixed territories  
  • Experience in cyber security/MDR space preferred 
  • Track record of success in partner management and leading sales situations 
  • History of consistent plan development and quota achievement 
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills  
  • Ability to self-manage and work remotely 
  • Ability to travel 50%+ and to global locations  
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM 

Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in channel sales in related industry 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in business, sales, or marketing 

Compensation


The base salary range for this position is $107,000 - $127,000 USD, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for commissions up to 40% of on target earnings. Your base salary compensation will be based on your individual skills, education, and experience. Please keep in mind that the above range is the full base salary range for this role; hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
