THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Channel Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our company by supporting our channel partners. You will serve as the technical expert, providing pre-sales support, and ensuring that our partners have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to channel partners during the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and addressing technical inquiries.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the architecture, pitch, value proposition, and technical differentiation.
  • Identify and remove potential roadblocks to POVs, deals, etc. that could result from partner engagement dynamics.
  • Own the technical success of our strategic channel partners: detail the technical development plan for each strategic partner and set milestones to be achieved each quarter in each strategic partner.
  • Identify key technical influencers at each strategic partner.
  • Create Cyera technical evangelists in our key strategic partners who have the ability to pitch and demo effectively.
  • Develop effective technical enablement for our channel partners by conducting training sessions and workshops for them to ensure they are well-versed in our product offerings and can effectively sell and support them.
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of sales enablement materials, including presentations, technical documentation, and case studies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key channel partners, understanding their business needs and challenges.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to provide insights that will help shape our channel strategy.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and engage with potential channel partners.
  • Gather feedback from channel partners and customers on product performance and feature requests.
  • Work closely with the product development team to relay this feedback and contribute to product enhancements.
  • Partner with Field Sales to drive technical success in regional channel partners.



Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Cloud, TDR, CASB, DLP or data security experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical sales role.
  • Strong knowledge in one of the three major cloud provider environments related to roles/permissions/API (AWS and/or Azure preferred).
  • Fundamental network & database experience.
  • Strong understanding of data storage types and basic understanding of encryption techniques and key management, cloud IAM, and network design/engineering/protocol.
  • Fundamental understanding of: ML/AI, Data Regulatory Frameworks, Privacy and Data Retention programs.
  • Proven experience working with channel partners, VARs, or system integrators.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of SFDC and opportunity tracking.
  • Results-oriented mindset and desire to thrive in a hyper-growth startup environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address customer challenges.

Desired Certifications (one or more with higher level being the most preferred):

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - Foundational or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamental
  • AWS Solution Architect - Associate or Professional
  • AWS Cloud Security Engineer or Architect
  • Azure Administrator Associate
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Azure Solutions Architect
  • CCSP - Certified Cloud Security Professional

COMPENSATION INFORMATION: 

In addition to a standard benefits and equity package, we offer a generous salary. Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.

This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.​
