About the Role:

PitchBook’s Channel Partnerships and Integrations team is responsible for supporting existing and developing new partnerships with software and workflow tool providers. Partnerships are designed to extend PitchBook’s market reach, enhance workflows with our market-leading data, and meet our clients in the tools and systems where they want to work. In this role, you will be charged with evaluating partnership opportunities against the strategic objectives of the business and go to market frameworks approved by PitchBook leadership. Furthermore, you will be responsible for regularly engaging channel partners to continuously optimize our integrations for the benefit of PitchBook and our customers. This role requires someone with strong customer-facing skills and a proactive approach to relationship management. They should also possess knowledge of private and public capital markets and be able to identify opportunities where PitchBook’s data and content can create a compelling channel offering for customers. Finally, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience tracking of partnership reporting metrics and an enthusiasm for building relationships within a cross-functional team environment.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound partnership inquiries and pursue initial diligence meetings
  • Identify growth opportunities within the existing Channel Partnership/Redistribution portfolio to expand distribution of PitchBook content to clients
  • Think strategically about each partner, their end customer, and competitive relationship to PitchBook to maximize the opportunity and minimize competitive risk within the existing partner portfolio
  • Have an appreciation for the private equity/venture capital/allocator marketplace and the ability to learn, comprehend, and demonstrate why and how each of our client types engages with our product and our data
  • In collaboration with leadership, create proposal documents outlining partnership licensing and terms for prospective channel partners and redistributors
  • Ensure all partnership opportunities are tracked appropriately in internal systems
  • Educate Sales, Account Management, and Customer Success on redistribution partners and solutions. Respond to questions as they relate to PitchBook data access through partners
  • Go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction with quarterly business reviews and periodic engagement with partners
  • Work with Direct Data engineering team to ensure delivery and/or integration of optimal data sets and collect partner feedback and trends to identify new data sets to meet partner needs 
  • Work with Marketing team to create sales enablement materials for Sales and Customer Success teams, partner marketing materials, and other partnership marketing support
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of Partnerships and Data Redistribution licensing experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and/or limited partner clients in a SaaS/data licensing function
  • Familiarity with partnership/alliance licensing and go to market structures or eagerness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRMs 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $125,000
  • Annual on target variable commission of fully ramped representative meeting expectations: $85,000
  • PitchBook currently has no cap on commission and commission is determined by individual performance


Working Conditions:

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
