IMO Health is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to drive the acquisition of new business, with a strong focus on Life Science organizations poised to benefit from our cutting-edge clinical data intelligence solutions. This role is pivotal in establishing IMO as a leader in data quality. 

 

As the Business Development Director, you will be at the forefront of targeting and penetrating new organizations, particularly within the Life Science sector (pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations). You will identify key stakeholders and decision-makers, crafting and executing strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth of our market presence and revenue. 

 

Success in this role demands more than a proven sales record; it requires a pioneering approach. You will lead the charge in launching new SaaS products that address complex data quality challenges related to clinical trials and prescription efficacy for patients. Your consultative, solution-oriented strategies will craft compelling value propositions that align with our clients' unique needs. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, your ability to combine creativity with strategic thinking will be key to your success.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

  • Drive growth by targeting and securing new business opportunities within Life Science organizations, effectively positioning IMO Health’s solutions.
  • Boost revenue by developing and executing strategic sales plans that achieve and surpass financial targets, focusing on IMO Health’s data quality products. 
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to expand IMO Health’s client base and strengthen market presence.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

  • Master the art of introducing and scaling disruptive healthcare IT solutions, gaining insights into the intricacies of market entry and expansion. 
  • Refine your ability to craft and execute sales strategies that align innovative products with client needs, driving both growth and market leadership. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Identify and Secure New Opportunities: Proactively target, qualify, and advance new sales opportunities within Life Science organizations, ensuring the successful closure of deals to drive revenue growth. 
  • Manage Sales Strategies: Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue goals for IMO’s data quality products, including data normalization and NLP solutions. Focus on expanding the customer base and addressing market needs. 
  • Client Engagement: Create and implement detailed client engagement plans with specific objectives for all interactions, including calls and meetings, to build strong relationships and drive sales. 
  • Sales Presentations and Collateral: Design and deliver impactful sales presentations and develop high-quality collateral that effectively communicates the value of IMO’s solutions. 
  • Pipeline Management: Build and manage a strong revenue pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and progression of opportunities through the sales cycle. 
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Own and maintain accurate business forecasts, providing clear visibility and predictability to sales leadership for effective decision-making. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 10+ years of enterprise-level sales or business development experience, specifically in Life Sciences, with a focus on SaaS solutions. Expertise in NLP/AI sales is highly desirable. 
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully targeting and developing leads, building and managing pipelines, crafting proposals, and closing high-value accounts to drive subscription-based revenue. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and earn trust across all organizational levels, including C-suite executives. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, capable of utilizing data and metrics to validate assumptions, support recommendations, and drive strategic actions. 
  • Hands-on approach with a proven ability to excel in a dynamic environment with limited support infrastructure. Self-starter who can manage tasks effectively with minimal supervision. 
  • Highly resourceful, with the capability to address complex questions and objections creatively and strategically. 
  • Self-motivated and passionate about business development, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to achieving sales targets. 
  • Proficient in Salesforce, with experience using the platform to manage sales processes and track performance metrics.
