About This Role

The Associate Director, Cybersecurity Program Manager is a member of the Head of Access Automation’s leadership team and is accountable for the curation and execution of our most complex and impactful projects and programs. This features initiatives that underpin Biogen IT’s Drive & Elevate strategy, with a focus on new ways of delivering Resilience, Simplification and Scale.  Impacting all Biogen colleagues and many external stakeholders, this leader must be seasoned in managing complex, impactful enterprise initiatives and have a sophisticated approach for interacting with our enterprise stakeholders. The candidate must be experienced in difficult enterprise projects and demonstrate a command of all aspects of program / project management – especially plan development, resource management, schedule execution, quality control and risk management.  The Associate Director, Cybersecurity Program Manager will also be responsible for continuously improving our project management practices, to include making ad hoc practices repeatable.  This individual should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, without operational norms or existing standards.  This role will report into the Head of Access Automation, Cybersecurity.

This is a remote based role and will require the individual to work standard business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone (ET).

What You’ll Do

•    Plan Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to construct a comprehensive plan that not only meets but exceeds their expectations, factoring in business needs, user experience, and setting teams up for success by accurately assessing complexity and effort.
•    Project / Program Execution: Lead the charge as the primary overseer of the Program and Project, ensuring diligent management of costs, schedules, resources, change, stakeholder engagement, and vendor relationships.
•    Risk Management and Troubleshooting: Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to deeply understand project intricacies, allowing for the anticipation and navigation of risks and opportunities inherent in large-scale initiatives.
•    Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development: Capture lessons learned from project experiences and collaborate with functional teams to devise improved or more sustainable methods for achieving desired outcomes.

As a natural leader, you have a proven track record of nurturing talent and creating high-performing teams. You navigate the uncharted territories of program management with ease, making informed decisions without the need for existing standards.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience focused on cybersecurity programs, with over 10 years in program management.   
  • Proven success managing and executing complex programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve customer success with business stakeholders beyond the IT and Cyber sectors.
  • Strong track record of developing lasting solutions and services for a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in talent development and team management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in project management and/or delivery methodologies (e.g., PMP, SAFe Agile).
  • Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors with an understanding of compliance and regulatory environments.

 

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $152,000 – $209,000. Base salary offered is determined though an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.  

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
