The Role:
In this role, you will represent Morningstar Credit's expansion into CMBS and broader commercial real estate markets. You'll run a high volume of outreach, make connections with decision-makers at companies that fit our ideal customer profile, and generate new business opportunities. This is a role that makes a direct and significant impact in our business, working closely with the product development, marketing, and other sales teams for the solutions you represent.
Responsibilities

  • Act as consultants for Morningstar's capabilities; our clients appreciate the value of our capabilities for their needs, so we take the time to understand and address those needs head on;


  • Build our database of prospective clients, which includes Commercial real estate brokers, Investors, Asset Managers, Debt and Equity providers as well as CMBS Investors.


  • Work with a strong sense of urgency, which translates into activity with the expectation of making 50 calls/ outbound emails per day;


  • Ask thorough and pointed questions, guiding potential clients through needs assessment and discovery sessions to qualify the prospect and drive new opportunities;


  • Demonstrate extensive product and industry knowledge to our potential client base;


  • Collaborate with Morningstar's marketing & communications, sales and product teams to proactively follow leads and help support strong business growth.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years overall experience with minimum 1 year in a business development/sales environment.


  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Familiarity with the financial services market preferred
  • Ability to travel within the United States
  • Self-motivated team player who is creative, has fresh ideas and is a self-initiated learner
  • Enjoys working closely with customers to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Proven strong relationship management skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player


Total Cash Compensation Range $60,000 - $105,000
