As a key member of the Creative Studio, our Assistant Director, Creative Studio oversees a high-performing team of creatives—providing guidance, mentorship, and inspiration while fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. This role combines strategic partnership, creative direction, and team development to meet Cambia’s marketing objectives. Through effective leadership, they build strong relationships with peers in Marketing, internal clients, and other communication partners throughout the organization—all in service of creating a more person-focused health care experience.

What You Bring to Cambia: 

 

Qualifications:  

  • The Assistant Director, Creative Studio would have a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Design, Creative Writing or a related creative field, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in creative services, with at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience.

  • Health care industry or highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or pharmaceutical advertising.

 

Skills and Attributes: 

  • 10+ years of creative direction and leadership experience in an in-house creative services or agency setting, with health care organization experience preferred

  • Proven track record of translating brand strategy and business objectives into compelling, digital-first multichannel campaigns

  • Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and inform marketing strategy, emphasizing brand and creative implementation

  • Experience partnering across matrix organizations to drive creative solutions for business challenges

  • Exceptional soft skills, including emotional intelligence and active listening, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive collaborative solutions and inspire team members.

  • An appreciation of marketing technologies (DAMs, workflow tools) to support sales and marketing objectives

  • Demonstrated success in effectively advocating for creative teams, clients, and consumers, leveraging a unique blend of left-brain analytical thinking and right-brain creative vision.

 

What You Will Do at Cambia:  

  • Lead a multidisciplinary creative team across copywriting, design and videography, while staying ahead of industry trends to ensure we're leading, not following

  • Drive creative thinking, development and evolution aligned with brand strategy, emphasizing simplification of complex concepts

  • Oversee concept development and creative execution, ensuring deliverables effectively communicate key messages and engage target audiences

  • Drive quality assurance through ongoing feedback and final approvals, maintaining brand consistency across all materials

  • Manage B2B and B2C marketing deliverables for Regence health plans, including collateral, campaigns, naming, creative frameworks, and content development aligned with market standards and customer needs

  • Combine user insights and strategic thinking to deliver compelling creative solutions for both corporate and health plan brands

  • Partner with Marketing Operations to optimize creative workflow processes and systems

  • Build strong relationships across marketing, clients, and communication partners while fostering cross-functional collaboration

As a member of our strong leadership community, you will provide direction to your team, engage them towards common goals and create a positive experience that helps people flourish. 

The expected hiring range for an Assistant Director, Creative Studio is $134,300 - $170,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. The bonus target for this position is 15%.  The current full salary range for this role is $126,000 - $206,000. #LI-hybrid
