About the Role

Rula is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee Rula’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and a faster month-end close. This role will manage a team of six individuals, implement automation and system enhancements, and collaborate across Finance, Financial Operations, Procurement, and external partners.

You’ll play a key role in streamlining operations, reducing the month-end close from eight to five days, and supporting major initiatives like implementing a new chart of accounts and procurement system. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA required

  • 12+ years of experience in accounting, including Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience in a high growth environment 

  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership capacity managing, mentoring, and overseeing performance of teams

  • Expertise managing month-end and financial operations 

  • Proven proficiency spearheading systems and process improvement, including ERP and automation tools

  • A strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements

  • Prior experience in a high growth start-up or healthcare/technology industry

  • Experience in a public company environment and/or preparing a company for IPO/readiness

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Skillfulness in implementing finance systems

  • Strong project management experience, with an ability to drive change

  • A proven expertise in navigating complex accounting issues with analytical prowess dynamic problem solving skills

Compensation Range: $193.7K - $216.5K
