Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a highly motivated solutions architect who is passionate about implementing solutions, problem solving, and collaboration. The role will focus on delivering innovative solutions within the applications space, with particular focus on architecture frameworks and model-based engineering domains. As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to drive business growth.
Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Create detailed designs and specifications for proposed solutions, and work with cross-functional teams to assist in execution.
  • Ensure architecture designs and systems are aligned with the Enterprise strategy and policies.
  • Work directly on implementations in the technical delivery role to deliver project success.
  • Assist in establishing organizational standards and templates related to Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, including The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF);
  • Develop and maintain MBSE & UAF models using Cameo/MagicDraw and Teamwork Cloud. Assist in establishing model-based engineering organizational standards.
  • Lead efforts for technology evaluations and participate in architecture review and approval process.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience architecting and delivering enterprise solutions across multiple domains (application, data, and technology).
  • Experience in implementing Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF and UAF.
  • Proficiency with integration implementation technologies such as web services, JSON, XML, Canonical forms, and Pub/Sub architecture.
  • Knowledge of system integration principles, including APIs, messaging, and data exchange formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
  • Strong foundation in modeling using SysML, Cameo/MagicDraw, Teamwork Cloud, and Visio.
  • Experience in cloud transformation (SAAS, PAAS, IAAS) using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Azure.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodology methods and tools, including Jira and/or ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Systems, or Engineering from an accredited college/university.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience in Digital Engineering implementations, including Digital Thread, Digital Twin, and Digital Artifacts.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Software Factory.
  • Digital transformation experience in manufacturing and supply chain disciplines.
  • Experience across enterprise application implementations such as Oracle EBS, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with concepts of data ontology and data taxonomy.
  • Enterprise Architecture Framework certifications (TOGAF, UAF).
  • AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud certifications.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
