Your future team
The Atlassian Advisory Services team is a remote, globally-distributed team of Atlassian solution advisors who are passionate about creating customer success. Advisory Services team members engage with enterprise organizations having some of the most complex business challenges and help them deliver a delightful solution to their users. We provide teams of trusted advisors helping orchestrate successful outcomes with customers to help them get the most out of their Atlassian investment and unlock their ideal solution for team collaboration. We're hiring an Advisory Principal to join our Advisory Services Delivery team, reporting to a Senior Delivery Manager. This is not a managerial role. Atlassian Principals are technology and process champions, delivering guidance across our Solution areas. Principals demonstrate solution expertise to frame the customer's strategic direction and craft solutions to realize customer value. They partner with their team to deliver the solutions and recommendations to help the customer achieve their desired outcomes and business objectives.
You will help our strongest promoters showcase successes to their peers, and serve as the tip of the spear in growing the reach of our technologies for new use cases and markets.
In this role, you will:

  • Partner with customer, channel, and internal teams to solve Atlassian Platform challenges and achieve their business goals using Atlassian Solutions
  • Build relationships with senior customer leadership to understand their business, goals, and strategy to help support Atlassian's engagement roadmap
  • Reach into all parts of Atlassian to influence and facilitate a deeper level of engagement with our largest enterprise customers
  • Lead complex projects and drive global initiatives, providing strategic guidance within the business, and mentor team members
  • Create globaly-applicable solution content to support customer goals and outcomes
  • Cultivate deep industry expertise, staying up-to-date with evolving practices that support different types of teams
  • Collaborate with Advisory peers and other internal and external partner teams to support the customer
  • Discover, experiment, and own the roll out new practices across the organization for solution delivery
  • Design proof-of-concept solutions using Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo for Enterprise customers
  • Up-level the wider Success organization on the use of AI to drive productivity for Atlassian customers


Your background:

  • 10+ years of experience within SaaS companies.
  • 8+ years of Enterprise customer-facing consulting or success roles.
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud ecosystem including tools like Jira, Confluence, Guard, Loom, and Rovo
  • Demonstrated expertise in SaaS and Atlassian Cloud, integration methods, and security considerations
  • Deep technical expertise with at least one of the Atlassian System of Work Solutions (Enterprise Strategy and Planning, Work Management, DevSecOps, High Velocity Service Management) and conversationally fluent in each of the others
  • Expertise in business opportunity discovery with experience identifying business challenges and prescribing solutions to realize value
  • Experience moving between technical practices and guiding customers on applying Atlassian Solutions
  • Change Management, Transformation, and solution rollout/adoption experience with Enterprise SaaS solutions
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 enterprise customers in a consulting or technical expert capacity
  • Specific and deep experience in one or more of: Finance, Healthcare, Automotive, Public Sector, Technology, Communications, and Manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) for Generative Content, Prompt Engineering, and/or chat-mediated interactions
  • Proficient in Node.js, with experience in building production-ready APIs and microservices. Experience with Atlassian Forge preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks)
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.


Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $179,800 - $239,800
Zone B: $161,800 - $215,800
Zone C: $149,300 - $199,000
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
