Position Summary:The Advisor generates new client relationships and maintains existing client relationships by identifying and capturing market opportunities to apply our insurance and risk management value proposition to support the clients’ needs and passions.Principal Responsibilities:

  • Presents proposals in a professional manner, reviewing coverages in detail to ensure understanding.
  • Finalizes the sale, coordinates the collection of deposits or premiums, arranges for binders and certificates, and briefs the service team on the policy sale.
  • Meets or exceeds monthly new business goals.
  • Develops prospects by becoming affiliated with community organizations, attending insurance company partner hosted seminars, building and maintaining relationships with industry contacts, engaging in networking events and through referrals from current accounts.
  • Develops information and recommendations for prospective clients, presents proposals and adheres to the organization’s policies and procedures for writing a new account.
  • Maintains a concern for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the organization and insurance company partners to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Maintains an understanding and knowledge of insurance industry and underwriting criteria for Insurance Company Partners represented by firm to effectively communicate to all involved.
  • Identifies and solicits sales prospects from various sources.
  • Positively represents the Firm and Insurance Company Partners in the community.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by leadership.
  • Look for opportunities to improve the organization, business segment, and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Currently has a state insurance license, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence others through effective verbal and written presentation skills.
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred, but not required).
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Salesforce (preferred, but not required).
  • Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.
  • Demonstrates the organization’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.
