The Role

Looking for a career in the most exciting growth area including Production and Enterprise network sales, then Web is the place to be! The Account Manager will be responsible for optimally selling to various divisions of Amazon and work as part of a larger account team serving Amazon globally. You will have a background in delivering strategic wins, an expertise working with a diverse partner base and a consistent record of exceeding goals. You have large global account management experience and familiarity with navigating sophisticated buying situations. You will be working closely with leading technologies and develop compelling offerings. This role requires a balance between technical expertise and business insight. You will establish relationships and become and advisor at all levels of our clients, understanding their business and delivering high impact business outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Work in highly collaborative environments to team with Cisco Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Channel Partners in the region to drive revenue and contribute to YoY growth rates
  • Partner with you team to provide support on DID's, RNSD's, Claims and learn the business
  • Work across the customer to uncover new lines of business in core areas of opportunity and extend into additional leads to build a pipeline of short, mid, and long-term business
  • Practice consultative selling to tackle business problems
  • Maintain and lead detailed and accurate quarterly forecasting
  • Empower and build extended teams around you to unlock the power of Cisco's Sales organization, customer base and partner organization

Who You Are

Excellent track record of sales success including, demand generation, partner development, strategic account planning, forecasting, quota attainment, presenting ground-breaking solutions via sales presentations, short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management.

  • The ability to deliver business value to both End Users and Partners. Strong technical and business knowledge with complimentary skills to understand the customers' business drivers and align to Cisco solution.
  • Polished negotiator of issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy.
  • You're a bold self-starter with ability articulate Cisco product and business strategies and build the demand to complete the deal.
  • Consistent record building new relationships, navigate complex organizations and influence multiple decision makers
  • An ability to learn, a real passion to help customers succeed
  • An ability to work with Product Engineering Teams in crafting coordinated solutions that address complex problems with a focus on the Cisco value proposition
  • Travel will be essential to the success of the role as well as the need to live in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA or Austin, TX areas.

Minimum qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in prospecting, competitive analysis and protecting the Cisco installed base, proficient at navigating internal tools.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
