Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Acquire New Clients:
- Identify and actively prospect for new business, both in person, and online.
- Develop opportunities and generate leads for transactional opportunities along with annual commitments.
- Utilize various sales techniques and strategies to initiate and close deals.
- Use a Defined Sales Process
- Log all activity and documentation aligned with the defined sales process in the company CRM.
- Develop and present compelling sales proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the value of Seattle Times Media Solutions’ offerings.
- Client Needs Assessment:
- Learn to hold a client discovery call to assess client needs and provide tailored media and digital managed services solutions.
- Work with senior team members to develop strategic recommendations that align with clients’ business objectives.
- Campaign Support:
- Assist in the execution and oversight of media campaigns in collaboration with Account Services partners.
- Work with team members to understand campaign reporting.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the sales team to share insights and strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of digital managed services, including search, social and programmatic offerings.
- A passion for sales and a desire to build a career in media and digital managed services.
- Strong prospecting skills and a keen interest in new business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new sales strategies and techniques.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and sales software is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Sales or lead generation experience preferred.

Work Location: This is a hybrid role requiring about two days per week in the Seattle office. (1000 Denny Way). No travel required.
Compensation: The salary range for this position is $74,000 to $83,200, which includes annual base pay of $50,000 to $59,200 in addition to potential annual commission earnings of $24,000 (with no cap). Commission pay for the first six months of employment is guaranteed at $2,000 per month.

Please Note: This position requires you to join a union and pay ongoing union dues each month. In addition, you will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen for controlled substances (excluding marijuana) and a criminal background check once an offer has been made.
