Your primary responsibility will be to act as the liaison between Favor and our Merchant partners. You’ll call on local and regional merchants to understand their business needs and build a relationship. Becoming an expert on our products and services, you will highlight the value of Favor and how we can support each merchant in achieving their business goals, including featuring merchants on our Favor Merchant platform and supporting them through Last Mile delivery where applicable. The Account Executive also partners with internal teams to ensure we meet the merchant’s expectations and to provide a great overall experience for each merchant.

What You'll Do:

  • Cultivate new and existing leads in your designated region by cold calling businesses in-person and on the phone
  • Maintain and nurture an active pipeline of potential merchant partners and qualify inbound leads and prospects via phone and email
  • Identify decision makers and ask questions to uncover and understand a merchant’s needs and determine how to best partner with them
  • Demonstrate and highlight the value and return on investment Favor provides with an end goal of securing the sale
  • Manage the full sales cycle from finding new leads, negotiating terms, drafting proposals, sending contracts and securing a sale
  • Report and record all sales activities in our web-based CRM system
  • In partnership with your Regional Sales Manager, plan a sales approach for your territory for both outside and inside sales
  • Spend a minimum of 2 days each week in your market meeting business owners and decision makers in-person
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the success of new merchant partners
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to identify potential opportunities and develop ideas that deliver sales results
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly predetermined sales goals and quotas
  • Respond quickly to concerns or questions and resolve issues with high-quality customer service while maintaining Favor’s reputation
  • Utilize a highly customer-focused, consultative and data-driven sales approach

Skills You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable formal training, certification and/or work experience
  • Previous experience as an Account Executive or similar sales/customer service role
  • Experience executing the full lifecycle sales process in-person and over the phone
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with Google Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate via phone and email (both internally and externally)
  • Demonstrated experience creating and facilitating presentations
  • Ability to build lasting relationships
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Who You Are:

  • You’re a team player who is energetic and coachable
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, regularly changing environment
  • You do not easily get overwhelmed and have a good understanding of time management and how to prioritize goals
  • You are self aware and extremely self-motivated
  • You persevere in the face of challenges with a positive, can-do attitude
  • You live in San Antonio, Texas or the surrounding areas

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
