Less than a year after announcing a $90 million financing round, Seattle-based Snap! Mobile has been on an acquisition frenzy and recently acquired another startup to realize its goal of becoming a full-service support solution for high school administrators and staff.
Snap! Mobile, the parent company of Snap! Raise, announced that it acquired CNXT Digital for an undisclosed price on Friday. CNXT Digital is based in a suburb of Chicago and consists of two software entities, 8to18 and SchoolCNXT.
Online platform 8to18 is used by athletic departments and leaders of extracurricular activities. It helps with scheduling and player registration, among other services. SchoolCNXT is a web-based communication platform that can translate messages in over 100 languages.
“Today’s acquisition of CNXT Digital is a major step forward in achieving our strategic vision of building the best and most comprehensive high school administrative support platform for districts and schools everywhere,” Snap! Mobile co-founder and CEO Cole Morgan said in a statement.
“8to18 and SchoolCNXT complement our suite of services, including Snap! Raise, our fundraising tool; Snap! Store, our spiritwear and e-commerce solution; and Snap! Spend, our money management platform,” Morgan added. “By bringing these services together under one integrated platform, we can help even more administrators, athletic directors, coaches and group leaders build thriving programs for themselves and their participants.”
Snap! Mobile is an administrative support platform geared for high school coaches and group leaders. The platform helps leaders build “thriving programs,” according to a release from the company.
With the acquisition of CNXT Digital, Snap! Mobile is able to further expand its high school aimed solutions. With the other companies it has acquired, Snap! Mobile is now able to offer website hosting, event management, multilingual communication and sports schedules atop its fundraising management, money management and e-commerce solutions.
