These 5 Seattle Tech Companies Raised July’s Largest Funding Rounds

As temperatures were rising across the nation last month, businesses in the Puget Sound were busy raising fresh capital. The five largest funding rounds coming from the Seattle tech scene totaled a collective $215 million in July, with more than half of the funds going to a logistics company. Read on to see which startups raked in the largest funding rounds and which are actively hiring.

 

#5. $20 million, July 13

The Seattle-based company monitors software engineers’ productivity and aims to prevent employee burnout. Following a $20 million venture funding round led by Cota Capital, Uplevel is hiring for various positions ranging from marketing and customer success to development. The company also plans to develop new features for its platform.

Gordian Software develops APIs that integrate with third-party travel booking platforms making it easier for users to purchase add-ons like extra bags, priority boarding and even seat selection. Its latest Series A round brings its valuation to $200 million.

Seattle-based Phaidra offers a carbon reduction platform to help companies reduce costs while becoming more energy-efficient. Backed by AI, the startup’s Series A comes from Starshot Capital and other investors. Phaidra was founded by tech experts who perviously worked on Google’s Deepmind program.

 

#2. $26 million, July 27

Founded in late 2020, Ozette Technologies is a tech-driven life sciences startup building a single-cell immune monitoring platform. Led by Madrona Ventures, the Series A round will go toward expanding Ozette’s capabilities. The company is also building a new state-of-the-art immunology lab. 

 

#1. $119 million, July 6

Logistics company Flexe is a newly minted tech unicorn following its Series D round. With a valuation of more than $1 billion, the company is actively hiring for roles on its engineering, HR, account management and network development teams. Flexe’s solution offers businesses a logistics solution for warehousing, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory capacity and more.
