Tech industry activity on the Puget Sound picked up slightly last week. A couple of local companies secured new venture funding and others have grown through moves like acquisitions. Find out the latest with the Built In Seattle Weekly Refresh.

RealWear announced plans to go public via a SPAC. RealWear, a Vancouver-based device manufacturer, announced plans to go public by merging with special purpose acquisition company Cascadia Capital. RealWear makes assisted reality headsets for industrial workers for guided workflow and more. The deal values the newly combined company at $375.5 million. [GeekWire]

Rebellyous Foods secured $9.5M. The foodtech company engineers plant-based meat alternatives that are comparably priced to chicken products. Its equity funding from investors like Liquid 2 Ventures will help deploy its production equipment. Taqtile hired a new COO. The company aims to help industrial workers perform their jobs more efficiently by means of augmented reality and 3D visualization.
