Google already has 4,500 employees and 2 million square feet of office space in the Seattle region, according to GeekWire, including the existing Kirkland campus it established 15 years ago. The company will open a new Google Cloud campus in South Lake Union later this month.
Google employees will start working at the mixed-use Kirkland Urban property next year. The company currently has more than 150 job openings in the Seattle area, including 129 engineering and technology positions.
