Seattle-based drone manufacturer BRINC has secured $75 million in new funding to accelerate the development, production and deployment of its drone technology for public safety agencies.

The round was led by Index Ventures, a longtime investor in BRINC, with Motorola Solutions joining as a new investor and strategic partner.

Together, BRINC and Motorola Solutions aim to prompt a new era of automated emergency response. According to a news release, BRINC’s drones will integrate with Motorola Solutions’ suite of public safety tools, including APX radios and VESTA 911 call management software. This will enable the drones to launch at the push of a button, respond to sensor alerts and provide real-time aerial intelligence during emergencies.

“We will continue building world-class emergency response drones and scale our team to meet the growing demand for our life-saving technologies. We couldn’t be more excited for the future,” Blake Resnick, CEO of BRINC, said in a statement.
