Limeade offers a service that is sorely needed in today’s corporate landscape: tech tools that help companies boost their culture.

As hot as the job market has become, it’s important for organizations to commit to building workplaces where every employee feels supported, finds belonging and actively enjoys logging in each day. Not only is it a boon for retention, but high morale can reduce turnover, aid in greater collaboration and draw new talent into the company. Limeade’s platform helps connect leadership and HR professionals with employees through surveys, activities, resource groups and more that can lead to a greater sense of belonging and job satisfaction.

And while Limeade has made a name for itself boosting other workplaces, it hasn’t neglected its own. In fact, the Seattle-based company offers a slew of enviable perks and benefits to ensure its team is happy and equipped to do their best work.

Built In Seattle took a peek behind the curtain at Limeade’s vibrant culture to learn what they’re doing right — and how its benefits have built a real community for the team.

    • Listen well, speak plainly
    • We’re a team
    • Own it
    • Anything is possible
    • Be the change

Take time for yourself: Limeade’s PTO allows employees all the downtime they want — without the nebulous prospect of unlimited time off. Instead, the company offers four weeks of vacation time and an additional 10 paid holidays, creating an environment where the team understands how much time off they’re encouraged to take. It removes any messy guesswork or anxiety for employees looking to unplug.

Parental support: For employees who have children, or soon will, Limeade strives to provide the resources necessary for any working parent to succeed. The company offers must-have perks, like generous parental leave, flexible schedules and family medical leave — but doesn’t stop there. Limeade has also built a culture that encourages parents to bring their whole selves to work through its Working Parents and Caregivers ERG and company-sponsored family events.

A commitment to inclusion: To ensure every team member finds belonging, Limeade has paid special attention to its diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Multiple employee resource groups build community, while a diversity and inclusion council pushes for more inclusive practices. Currently, Limeade has a mentorship program, a documented equal-pay policy and offers unconscious bias training as part of its desire to solidify its attraction and retention of diverse talent.
