ROLE SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Director, Specialty Hospital Business - is responsible for leading Pfizer Ig and Surgical Sales efforts for the Western US. In this role, this individual will be responsible for shaping and executing Field force selling strategies for the Immunoglobulin and Hemostatic portfolio. This broad branded and diverse portfolio consists of both Subcutaneous and Intravenous formulations of Immunoglobulin (Ig) products and a portfolio of market leading products to manage hemostasis during surgical procedures. This leader will own the customer engagement strategy of the surgical portfolio of products for the US Acute Care Hospitals, Integrated Delivery Systems (IDNs), and Ambulatory Surgery Center channels of business, and for the Ig with a current focus on Healthcare Providers prescribing Ig and specializing in Neurology, Allergy, Immunology, Pulmonology, Dermatology, and Rheumatology.
The role will report into the VP, National Sales Lead for Hospital, and be required to work closely with Sales, Portfolio, Account Management, Customer Facing Enablement, Operations and Marcom leadership across the Hospital organization. They will help shape our go-to-market strategy that will impacting the overall business and participate on cross-functional leadership teams.
Given the broad geographic and diverse customer responsibilities, multiple portfolios, and number of stakeholders, the role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, matrix leadership and preferably an understanding of the Ig and Acute Care Hospital market and competitive landscape.
The Regional Sales Director will be leading leaders to drive performance via a cross functional matrix of stakeholders for key accounts and Hospital Integrated Delivery Networks/Systems (IDNs) and Alternate Site facilities throughout the U.S.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leadership of direct and indirect reports (Direct: 7-10 Area Business Managers and Indirect: 50 - 80 SHSS colleagues) representing significant revenue and margin responsibility
• Build, maintain and foster high performing, highly engaging and inclusive culture of strong partnership / engagement / problem solving with Portfolio teams, Operations, National and Major Accounts (among others) to maximize opportunities and minimize customer issues to successfully drive the business.
• Ensure sales forecast and operational budgets and OP strategy goals are achieved
• Develop & lead the execution of selling strategies enabling the team to drive revenue & achieve sales targets.
• Proved example of developing leaders that are culture champions and change agile ambassadors that deliver consistent results
• Active partnering with marketing leads & teams to shape brand/customer strategies and initiatives to drive demand and meet customer needs
• Design, rollout, and monitor dynamic evolution of sales representative incentive compensation structure in partnership with Global Commercial Operations
• Continued innovation of the customer-facing commercial model, including refinement of sales representative role definition, capability development, training needs and product responsibilities.
• Provide analysis, insight and direction on priorities and quarterly goals to attain revenue targets.
• Ensure successful, compliant selling activities of the portfolio
• Develop change agile organization to effectively and consistently deliver results in changing competitive, market and economic landscapes
• Create a high performing organization through talent planning, career development and strong coaching and capability skill development
• Recruit qualified talent and assists in development of high potential employees.
• Build a network of customers and industry contacts to improve sales, access, portfolio adoption and successes.
• Develop and implements appropriate contingency plans to defend sales against anticipated challenges.
• Proactively work with Sales training team, ensuring all adequate training programs are coordinated.
• Proven ability to establish and nurture KOL and C-Suite customer relationships and network.
• Expected travel up to 40%.
• Complies with all Corporate Policies and Procedures, while conducting all job-related activities with integrity and adherence to Pfizer's high standards of business conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 15+ years of pharmaceutical/ People Leadership experience
• History of successfully consistently achieving sales and opex targets
• Hospital, Specialty Pharmacy, Ig and OR experiences and expertise strongly preferred due to the complexity of this space
• Leader of Leaders experience preferred as this role will require leadership of Area Business Managers (ABM's)
• Experience leading large multi-level organizations preferred leadership at Regional or National Director Level
• Hospital/Ig experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to execute flawlessly to deliver results
• Demonstrated ability to formulate, develop, write, communicate and monitor the execution of business plans
• Strong track record of collaborative and motivational and inspirational leadership and internal stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Successful track record of program management and leadership in cross functional teams
• Understand people dynamics and interface; how to engage and motivate
• Enterprise thinking; anticipates consequences
• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
• Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $205,400.00 to $342,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
