Principal Product Marketing Manager, GTM Programs Management

Why we have this Role

Qualtrics is seeking a skilled Principal Product Marketing Manager, Go-to-Market (GTM) Programs Management for our new Product Marketing (PMM) Scale Team within the Product Marketing organization. The PMM Scale Team is responsible for helping increase sales productivity and scaling our core Product Marketing functions by developing best-in-class, consistent, and globally specialized field assets and leading major GTM initiatives across our Customer Frontlines, People Teams, Strategy & Research, and Industry lines of business. Qualtrics solutions help companies to create exceptional customer experiences, high-performing teams, and products people love. 

Reporting to the PMM Scale Team leader, you'll be responsible for owning and leading commercialization of our core go-to-market motions across the product marketing team. You will be the core driver of horizontal motions including sales plays, major pricing and packaging updates, sales kick off, and Tier 1 marketing and enablement moments. You will develop, socialize and lead critical new processes across the organization in order to drive effective global commercialization. You will work with global and cross-functional leaders from sales, customer support, product marketing, field marketing, and enablement to align and drive across these core go-to-market strategies. Being the closest stakeholder to the global product marketing team you’ll provide project management across the commercialization process and manage delivering of effective, quality, localized, and on-time assets from the product marketing teams. This role leads the process behind global sales plays, enablement and content so you will play a crucial role in defining best practices and standards around these core parts of the product marketing function. You will partner closely with our Product Launch Center of Excellence to build a single commercialization process the business aligns to.

This role also requires great executive presence and a level of agility to adapt as Qualtrics develops new innovations, tackles new market opportunities or grows organizationally. Mission critical for the growth of our business, the ultimate goal of this role is to help Qualtrics successfully drive global go-to-market motions which increase sales productivity and effectiveness.


How You’ll Grow

You will experience substantial professional growth and development. You'll be at the forefront of implementing, managing and innovating in a dynamic, global PMM environment, honing your skills in establishing and running critical go-to-market processes and overseeing complex, multi-faceted commercialization motions, plays and projects. Your expertise in managing complex GTM strategies will expand as you set up a working commercialization process, launch successful sales programs and pricing and packaging with the potential to lead a team of GTM program experts over-time. Collaborating with a diverse range of talented professionals and leaders across the organization, you'll enhance your leadership, ownership and influence capabilities and develop a deeper understanding of global GTM strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to interface with the most senior leadership at Qualtrics, leading and supporting multiple key company initiatives. The value you drive in this role will have a direct impact on the success of the business growth, positioning you well for additional responsibilities and advancement. 


Things You’ll Do

Define, own and run the Commercialization Process and Roadmap: You’ll be responsible for standing up, driving and leading a commercialization process for the business. This will require project management, change management, and ability to influence and align stakeholders to a single commercialization process. You’ll be responsible for driving the workbacks for the process, engagement, and ensuring on-time quality delivery of needed assets working closely with our Content Studio leads, Product Marketing leadership, Product Center of Excellence, Enablement and Marketing leadership. By owning the commercialization roadmap you will have a unique view of all activity across the PMM organization and play a critical role in maintaining and communicating to leadership so they are better able to make the right trade offs and prioritization across the team.


Drive effective go-to-market plays: Qualtrics is at an inflection point in which global sales play strategy needs to be more streamlined, strategic and efficient. Using field feedback and data, you will recommend what optimal sales plays, enablement and content map should be working across all key stakeholders and aligning Sales leadership. 


Lead Tier 1 Horizontal go-to-market initiatives: Product Marketing is responsible for supporting the business in delivering on a number of key go-to-market initiatives including Sales Kick Off and our annual X4 events. This role will be the key stakeholder representing the Product Marketing organization in these large cross-organization initiatives. Your role will include representing PMM perspective in planning meetings, working across PMM to align on their plans and support and communicating that back out to leadership, and running process and workback to support PMM in delivering on their commitments for these Tier 1 initiatives. 


Project Management: You will lead overall project management across multiple work streams, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time. The key project management responsibilities will include:

  • Building workback plans to account for dependencies or potential roadblocks
  • Aligning stakeholders to timelines and supporting resource allocation
  • Prioritizing various tasks based on resource or time limitations
  • Facilitating working sessions and other meetings with stakeholders
  • Making recommendations to key decision makers based on data and experience
  • Coordinating across multiple functions to create alignment and support
  • Assigning task completion to the appropriate team or individuals


Stakeholder Engagement: You will work alongside Qualtrics leadership and team members to successfully drive GTM motions. The key stakeholders are not limited to, but will include:

  • Executive leadership - inform strategic decisions and organizational approaches
  • Product Marketing - drive the development of content through subject experts
  • Sales - ensure content meets the needs of sellers to drive incremental revenue
  • Customer Success - ensure content fosters new opportunities with customers
  • Enablement - create processes to ensure field teams know how to use content
  • Content Production - guide the production and maintenance of content
  • Localization - ensure content is tailored to meet specific needs in global markets


Standardization and Scale: You will have a unique vantage point to see content from across the organization (across products, geographies, industries, customers, etc.) and being able to define best practices and content standards is critical to helping Qualtrics scale. You will help define the best approach to sales programs, bills of materials, content design, content launches, and enablement that translates into the most effective scale for Qualtrics. 


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Over 8 years of leadership experience in project management, program management, managing senior stakeholders, owning and driving a roadmap
  • Experience in Product Marketing or other related GTM function tasked with creating effective go-to-market strategies for field teams to be most effective 
  • Ability to manage multiple project timelines simultaneously. Attention to detail. Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions.
  • Experience working with and implementing project management tools and systems to track and manage multiple workstreams (e.g.Trello, Asana, Monday).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production requirements for a diverse array of projects and assets, such as pitch decks, demo videos, one-pagers, email sequences, RFP booklets, competitive battle cards, white papers, ebooks, and case studies.
  • Other software desirable: Highspot, Salesforce, Google apps.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, ability to thrive in ambiguity, and be a self-starter

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
